It was all more or less "fine" until 2008 hit. And then it caught up with me in a hurry.
We lost our home. Took on debt. Had to make major cutbacks.
It was a massive wake up call. And it forced me to do something different to make sure nothing like that ever happened again.
I used my finance background to create something real. I simplified everything. Built a system with clear structure, real goals, and intentional investing. One that tracks the market, minimizes fees, and actually fits real life.
That system has now worked for nearly 20 years. Our net worth has grown more than 10x since then, without ever paying an advisor.
And we did not do it by saving every penny. We did it while raising two kids and actually enjoying life along the way. Travel, concerts, sporting events, a home we love.
